Visitors and Participants
The university is committed to making its educational programs and facilities accessible to people with disabilities. Reasonable accommodations can be provided by departments, programs, and event organizers at the request of guests and visitors with disabilities. Accommodations that are considered reasonable are those that do not fundamentally alter the nature of the institution's programs and policies, and do not place an undue hardship on the institution. Reasonable accommodations are distinguished from services of a personal nature (such as provision of wheelchairs, personal care assistance, etc.), which the university may not provide.
Arrangements should be made in advance of the actual visitation date. A minimum of 10 business days’ notice is recommended for any accommodation. Please note that while accommodations that involve professional services (i.e., interpreters, transcription, etc.) will typically require 10 business days to arrange, less notice might be sufficient to provide enlarged print or electronic copies of handouts or program brochures.
If you plan to attend an event and will require reasonable accommodations for a disability, please first work with the event host. If you have any questions or concerns after working with the event host, you may contact the the Office of Accommodation and Accessibility Services at access@uark.edu or (479) 575-6208.
Parking
Accessible parking spots and restrooms are available throughout campus. Visitors who have a state-issued ADA placard or license plate may park in an ADA parking space by displaying a current U of A temporary parking permit along with their ADA placard or license plate. The U of A permit must be visible from outside the vehicle through the windshield.
To purchase a permit or for further questions about parking, please contact the Office of Transit and Parking.
Graduation
Accommodations for parking and seating should be arranged beforehand by contacting the dean's office of your school or college.
For additional information regarding accessible parking or seating, please visit the Registrar’s Website for Families and Guests.

Accommodations for campus visits should be coordinated with the Office of Admissions. Please contact the Tour Coordinator at visit@uark.edu or by phone at (479) 575-6240. You can also visit the Admissions website for additional information and to schedule a visit.
